Statement: Thank you for the honor of representing you in the Legislature for the last eight years. Since I was elected we have made major progress in improving funding for our public schools. However, much more work remains to ensure that every child in Washington has access to a quality education. I will continue to work hard for reforms to protect clean air and clean water, to fight climate change, to enact strong gun safety laws, to address the housing and homelessness crisis, and to reform Washington’s upside-down tax structure that burdens the poor the most.
