Elected Experience: JT has served four terms as our State Representative, recently becoming House Republican Leader.
Other Professional Experience: JT worked dozens of jobs on the family farm, from maintaining the irrigation system to CFO. He also led the national "Got Milk" ad campaign, and advises businesses of all sizes on governance and long-term planning.
Education: Graduated from Yelm High School; BA in History from WSU.
Community Service: Trustee of the Washington State Historical Society; Former President, Yelm Lions Club; Former volunteer fireman; He was awarded an Honorary Chapter Farmer degree by the Yelm FFA and has served on several school district committees.
Statement: In his first election, JT Wilcox promised to bring "Wilcox Family Farm Values" to Olympia. He's kept that promise. JT is respected for defending rural Washington’s jobs and our values. He’s also a leader in balancing the state budget and stopping higher taxes and wasteful spending. JT is a conservationist and championed a fiscally responsible plan to restore salmon habitat in the Nisqually and other rivers statewide.
JT and his wife Kathy have three grown children and a new granddaughter. The couple still lives on the family farm were the Wilcoxes have lived and worked for over 100 years.
